Some new changes

As you know BFBC2 is a big hit on the empire of gaming I'm also going to being testing new voice comms software & I will run a test server for us all to play about on on as Team has been advising me that Mumble has better codecs again than ventrilo & doesnt consume high bandwidth loads like ventrilo does....

All information will be posted shortly for you .... New Bad Company Server for Conquest will arrive shortly for us ...

We need more activity on these other servers before I have to decide to change these out as well - COD4 isn't really that active so It may get swapped out for a BF2142 shortly....

as I say not many of the guys I can see active all the time & I may turn to pushing the boat out on US servers aswell if it means getting more activity at later times

Ventrilo Connection Problems FAQ

Thx for posting this even though i did find it easily enough many times, basically what interest's me is the following

Q: Running a server with XP Pro firewall on.

If you are trying to run a server on XP Pro and have the XP Pro Firewall feature enabled then you must explicitly enable port 3784 for both UDP and TCP. Some firewall programs, like those that ship with Windows XP, do not have an option called "Both" or "UDP/TCP". In these cases you must create two entries in the firewall: One for UDP and another for TCP. This is easy enough to do by simply giving each entry a unique name such as Ventrilo TCP and Ventrilo UDP and assigning the appropriate network protocol to each one.

If you are running a local server you must have both UDP and TCP enabled for port 3784.

But i didnt know exacly how to do the above as theres no manual or any help for my router settings and i have no knowledge of all the Names (eg Udp TPS WTF lol)

Thx for the other reply in my other thread i hope it works out for me

Sorry if i put u in any trouble
